        • 5. Community: Browse the world's network of Local and Special Interest Marketplaces

          Cagora.org

This is where Cause Good Things had its origins. Back in 2003 we created a zoom in:zoom out network of:

          •  10,000 Local communities around the world Australia > Melbourne > Stonnington
          •  10,000 Communities of Interest:  Sports & Recreation > Boats > Kayaking

It's called Cagora because its a Community Marketplace much like the Ancient Greek Agora which was a Marketplace

At Cagora you could connect with people, advice, articles, photos, video that was relevant to you.

There was a 'community marketplace' for each Intersection (eg Australia Kayaking had more content than Melbourne Kayaking which had less than Melbourne Boats

Google owns SEARCH, but still no-one owns 'BROWSE on the Internet to make it easy to find the things that interest you locally or for your favourite hobbies.

Similar to Google and Facebook it will operate as a free to use network and will have advertising. The difference being the profits from the ad revenue generated is distributed to Charities and Community Groups rather than Shareholders.

NOTE to Past Cagora Supporters. Please get in touch to find details of a plan to repay you for your loyal support as the Cagora transitions to a Not-For-Profit Model.
